Below is the proposed spring schedule (Mod III & Mod IV). These classes are always subject to enrollment; therefore, it is necessary to register for classes that you want/need on the prescribed dates. This schedule was a result of looking at the numbers per the MBA student database and picking courses that had high probabilities for enrollment. This is not the optimal way of scheduling, but given the data we have, and imperfect as it is, this was the best approach to the scheduling conundrum. With your and your advisor's help in the future, we may arrive at a more optimal solution to who needs what and what can be offered.the best, Bill Mod III

Is there any way to get MBA604 added to the Spring 2003 Mod 3 schedule? I think it would be beneficial for those of us taking 600 Mod 2 to be able to take 604 the next mod. |

The Spring Schedule looks ok for me, but is there any chance that MBA 601 can be offered again in the second Mod of the Fall. |

Is there any way that MBA 604 can be added to Mod. 3? If it can then the schedule would work for me. I would take MBA 614 Mod. 4. Think about adding 604 to Mod 3, I think it would be beneficial for the students who are taking 600 in Mod. 2. Thank you for your time in this matter. |

I also vote to have 604 added to the spring schedule. It would help keep the continuity of all that we have learned. I took 504 in Fall 2001 and had to wait til Fall 02 to take 600 and there is therefore too much lag time. Thanks for anything that can be done. I was planning on taking 624 next summer and will need 604 to be offered in the Spring. Thanks again. |

Andrea, Tina, Theresa, & Bonnie: I will make the necessary inquiries concerning all pieces of the puzzle and let you know. Any decision, as you know, is an interrelated activity. Ed, Sorry, not in Mod II in the Fall. Bill |

Is it possible that Medaille can offer MBA 601 Strategic Human Resource MGT for the 4th module? Of course we need to have enough people who needs it. I know of 2 already. If there is anybody else who needs it, please advise. |

I would like to see if 604 could be added to Mod 3 especially if I can get into MBA 600 for Mod 2..these are courses that need to be taken in succession so the material just flows and a lot of review/refresher won't be needed in class or by the student. If I can't get into the MBA 600 for Mod 2 I would love to see MBA 600 in Mod 3 so there isn't a big break in my computer classes because if there is to long of a break its a use it or lose it kind of thing. Will 500 or 501 be offered during Mod 4 or the summer? I know I'm getting ahead of my self with summer but you have to plan ahead to keep on schedule. ------------------ NaKia Sangria-"Kia"[This message has been edited by nsangriaf (edited October 02, 2002).] |

I just wanted to let you all know that I have 5 names and 4 who have confirmed with me, via e-mail, that they want the class to be added to Mod 3. Please let me know as soon as possible, so I can proceed with getting the class added. aechapp@yahoo.com or achapp@washingtonmills.com.

Another question for Bill If for some reason MBA 604 cannot be added to Mod 3, what can a student do so they do not go 9 weeks with out a class? Can an independent study class be offered to that student? Thank you again |

Bill, knowing how the spring schedule will run..is it possible for me to change me MOD 2 courses so late in the game? Currently I am scheduled to take 500 and 603 in MOD 2. The problem I will run into is that there will only be 3 courses offered through MODs 3&4 that I will need. If I change to taking 600 and 641 in MOD 2, then I will be able to fit in 500&605 for Mod 3 and 603&604 in Mod 4. This would give me full semesters so I wouldn't have to wait for classes. Let me know. Changing 604 and 605 would be fine with me as they are filling the same time slot. [This message has been edited by mlaun (edited October 03, 2002).] |

Hi, MattYes, you can still add/drop courses for Mod II. It's hard to answer your other questions without a little more info. 1) did you waive any courses? 2) what are you taking Mod I? -- 504 and 502? Please note that 501 is a prerequisite for 603, that 600 is a prerequisite for 604, that you should take the 500-level courses before you take the core courses (600 - 605), and that you should not take concentration electives until you have taken most of the core courses. In particular, the financial planning courses (640, 641) are more comprehensible if you have taken 605 Financial Management first. |

Yes, I am taking 504 & 502 in Mod 1 and Yes I did have some classes waived.I understand how things should technically work in a perfect world. I understand that I should follow the sequence of course's. However we hardly live in perfection, if the schedule is set up such that I can't take the courses in sequence then I guess that I need to take them out of sequence to finish in the time that I had planned. I didn't understand the dynamics in play with course scheduling when I first signed up for this curriculum. If I have to take a course out of sequence maybe a counselor or the teacher and I should dicuss it and determine whether or not we feel I can handle it. I'm all for working hard to get where I want to be. The only way I can continue forward taking classes in sequence filling a full schedule is if 600 or 601 is offered in the 8:15 time slot in Mod 4. Bill, I am sure we have more than enough students to fill MBA 604 in Mod 3 if you can add it to the schedule. I would also be available to take 605 in Mod 4. Thanks. |

604 Group: I regret to tell those that wanted MBA 604 moved to Mod III that this will not happen. This is due primarily to the instructor (MBA Notre Dame, CPA, CMA, and a CFO currently) for MBA 605 being only available to teach this course in Mod III. Moving other courses would have affected other students who prefer the schedule as it is. The final spring schedule has already gone to print, which would create a complication for other students who use Medaille printed schedule to help with scheduling. The other constraint is lack of classrooms. What I propose to do to alleviate systemic problems in scheduling is to post within the month a long term schedule for, hopefully, four Mods. You can then comment on the schedule as to likes/dislikes well before professors are engaged and assigned classes, schedules go to print, or final classroom selections are made. This will give the faculty some feedback well in advance of the actual decision dates. I realize that this does not help you right now; I apologize for that but I tried to wait until all avenues had been explored. I have failed this time with a system based strictly on aggregate numbers. I hope when the system is more student input oriented that the number of satisfied customers may increase rapidly. Bill |

Andrea, I am exploring some avenues for you. I will get back to you ASAP. A directed study in 604 is not an option due to the nature of the course. I appreciate your position and will try to be a help. Bill |

Bill, Since MBA 604 is not being added to Mod 3 is there any way that one of these courses can be taught in the summer? Or did that schedule already get printed and cannot be changed? 601 604 611, 612, or 613. Taking 614 in Mod 4. I had a goal to graduate in the Spring of 2004 and now that the course cannot be changed it will but me behind for a graduation date of Fall 2004. I did give Jim O. the courses I need to graduate in Spring 2004. Thank you for your time in this matter. Andrea
