You are a new hire for the century-old James Jefferson Furniture Company (JJFC), crafters of high-quality wooden household furniture, is located on a single site near Ricci Street not far from one of the largest hardwood forests outside of Appalachia. JJFC employs around four hundred people at a single facility and had FY 2006 revenues of more than $35 million. It is fiscally sound. The Company's mission hasn't changed for a century -- to make good, affordable furniture for living. Let's look at the case .

This year they are putting a new marketing department together. They have hired a batch of recent MBA's from Medaille College and separated them into teams. Their mission: develop a marketing plan for entry into the New York market. Each team will give its proposal and develop their strategy. The winners will run the new department.
